Let The Terrorists Win??
"We can't let the terrorists win!"
This is a phrase that has not been looked into, but deserves to be. We often try to avoid letting terrorists win, but we seem to overlook the fact that they've won already, and that we helped them.

The terrible tragedy that occurred 10 years ago was a horrible thing. It caused Muslims to become the target of the nation's stupids' hatred. It caused an unwinnable war. Unwinnable because "Terror" is not a person, nation, country, army, or invasive animal species. Unwinnable apparently is not a word according to spell-check, and to politicians who insist that fighting people who wear street clothes instead of uniforms was and is still a good idea.
It also brought about a boon in airport security that we still see/endure today. Detectors of metal don't cut it today. We gotta have gropes and X-Ray scopes and shoes off and so many ounces out and no bombs or anything.

The FAA was coerced/terrorized/scared into upping security to ridiculous proportions; they were SCARED. TERRORIZED.
That is the apparent and inherent goal of terrorism as defined by the fucking dictionary. The terrorists won and continue to win in airports and air travel. Until we can settle down the fear levels that the FAA have got, which doesn't mean lax security measures, the terrorists continue to win. So let's stop calling it a "war on terror" and change what we say when we say "we can't let the terrorists win."
