The Accurate Lyrics To DragonForce's
'Soldiers Of The Wastelands'
The lyrics are down at the end of this rant, I promise you this. So just bear with me!
So I wanted to find the lyrics to this badass song mentioned above, and I trek on over to the first result on Google. This is the website SING365.com which has the lyrics misprinted. I know this because as I attempt to sing this song to the lyrics given, I notice some inconsistencies.
Luckily for me, and the benefit of every other person who wants to be knowledgable of this song's words, there is an editing option.
So, I listen to the song two times while skimming the lyrics, and fixing this and that here or there. I add "Special Notes" on to why I made the edits that I did, which basically consisted of "Um....I actually listened to the song while doing this....?"
Now I know that people hear things differently, but I let myself only edit undisputable errors. So, confident with my contribution to this website, I give a false name: Phillip Morris, partly because I don't feel like putting my real name down, and partly because I had that name in my head at the time. Then I press the "Submit This Form" button.
And I get this:

Now, this is just not true. I have never before in my life submitted these lyrical changes until now, let alone twice!
Something must be afoot! So I click on the "Visit The Lyrics" which I "Submitted" before....
As good as this person's Special Notes were, these were clearly not the ones that I had written. I didn't even provide a URL for Reference. Here is what I actually had written there:
I had experienced this exact same problem before on the site, with some other song and some other guy they thought was me submitting changes.
I guess what you should do as a reader is boycott this site entirely. Again, it's SING365.com just so you don't boycott a competent lyric site that cares about credible input and having reliable lyrics. Imagine if somebody needed the accurate lyrics or they'd fail at a talent show and then would be shot by the mafia for embarrassing their don who was in the audience because his son was dancing to Rhianna's 'Umbrella'? That would SU-U-U-UCK if you went to a website that lied outright to people. So boycott the site; I'd say just complain to the site directly, but they'd probably tell you that you already told them the same thing a couple times prior.
Now, as promised, the ACCURATE lyrics to 'Soldiers Of The Wastelands'. If you find ANYthing wrong with them, please tell me and I will actually fix them....unlike some websites we know.
Oh and here is the video from YouTube for reference:
Burning fires, burning lives
On the long distant roads
Through the lost mountains endless
So far away from home
Crossing battles savage seas towards the mountains high
Forest plains of wilderness we're striking out tonight
On towards our destiny we travel far and wide
Journey through the darkness as your hearts refuse to die
In the flames of hell we fire at will the fires of doom has come
With the forces of the blackest knights they're staring at the sun
Far across the distant plains of ice we're searching for the sword
When the time has come for battle now we follow with the horde
We will ride with fire burning hot towards the night sky
In the land of long ago forever in our souls
Fly on wings of shining steel are burning so bright
In ancient lands of warriors we're riding on again
Burning fires burning lives on the long distant roads
Through the lost mountains endless so far away from home
Warrior soldiers forever we fought long ago
We're all lost in the darkness so far away from home
Fallen soldiers taste the steel of death the daylight dawning
Sun will shine upon the lives of burning hearts of ice
As you break through the boundaries of life this feeling of despair
And they die in their sleep for the world that will not care
You feel lost in this labyrinth of pain this sickening dismay
There's a voice inside that's calling another wasted day
Can't you see the history the suffocating madness
In the land of fallen souls there's nowhere left no place to go
I have traveled far and wide across this wasteland
Still searching for the answers for the right to understand
Burning fires burning lives on the long distant roads
Through the lost mountains endless so far away from home
Warrior soldiers forever we fought long ago
We're all lost in the darkness so far away from home
Riding through sunlight and smashing the boundaries as hellfire falls from the sky
Shadow of pain will arise from the ashes of those fallen ones who have died
Our only master with fire and fury of hell will see his bidding done
Blasting from high as the battle unfolds to the gates of the city we come
We will ride with fire burning hot towards the night sky
In the land of long ago forever in our souls
Fly on wings of shining steel are burning so bright
In ancient lands of warriors we're riding on again
Burning fires burning lives on the long distant roads
Through the lost mountains endless so far away from home
Warrior soldiers forever we fought long ago
We're all lost in the darkness so far away from home
